Not every part of Drax Project's Ruapehu adventure was open to the public. As part of their hosted itinerary, the band and crew were welcomed to Maungarongo Marae for a special pōwhiri from Ngāti Rangi, offering a meaningful opportunity to connect with the region's culture, history, and people.
The group also spent time at The Boars Nest, learning about the organisation's rangatahi-focused kaupapa and the positive impact its community initiatives are having across the region.
