Bridge to Nowhere - Jet boat & canoeing - Explore
If you only have one day up your sleeve but want to experience the most scenic part of the Whanganui River river join us on the Bridge to Nowhere jet boat tour. This tour includes a bush walk followed by a couple of hours canoeing.
Be prepared for a full on day of adventure with this tour! From Pipiriki you’ll jet up the Whanganui River to the Mangapurua Landing and then walk 40 minutes through the native bush into the Bridge to Nowhere. Bring a picnic lunch to have at the Bridge and enjoy tales from your guide of the historic Mangapurua Valley and its pioneering people.
You’ll then wander back to the river, to join the jet boat that will take you to the next part of your adventure – canoeing back down the Whanganui River to Pipiriki.
After receiving full paddling instructions and a safety brief, you’ll be able to board your canoe for a couple of hours gentle canoeing.
