Returning for the first time since 2019, the North Island Primary & Intermediate Schools Ski Championships will take place during Term 3 of 2024 at Whakapapa, Mt Ruapehu. This exciting event invites primary and intermediate school students from across the North Island to showcase their skiing skills in a thrilling competition. Join us for a few days filled with excitement, sportsmanship, and fun on the slopes!
Event Schedule The schedule for both the primary and intermediate school's events is as follows:
Intermediate NIPS:
Saturday 24th August '24 - Tuesday 27th August '24
Primary NIPS:
Saturday 31st August '24 - Tuesday 3rd September '24
- Saturday: Optional Lane Training Day
- Sunday: Optional Lane Training Day
- Monday: Individual GS Race Day
- Tuesday: Parallel Slalom Race Day
School Teams School teams can consist of 1 to 4 members, with the fastest 3 contributing to the team’s total time.
