Forgotten World Adventures (FWA) offers exclusive guided experiences in one of the most beautiful and remote locations in New Zealand. Travel along an abandoned railway line by rail cart & enjoy a front row seat into our country's pioneering history.
All FWA experiences feature an iconic, self-driven rail cart journey on the 142km long historic Stratford-Okahukura Line. The Epic is an unforgettable four-day adventure with full immersion in the region's dramatic landscapes. Travel along the entire railway. Stay overnight at the iconic Whangamōmona Hotel, Aotea Lodge in Whanganui, and the award-winning Blue Duck Station. Enjoy storytelling of our ancestors along the Old River Road to Pipiriki, jet boat the length of the Whanganui River, enjoy a guided bush walk to the Bridge to Nowhere and conclude with lunch at Lauren's Lavender Farm. Includes: 3 nights' accommodation, jet boat, specified meals and transfers. Optional Extras: Forgotten World Motel. Departs: 7.30am from Taumarunui.
