Mountain biking at its best on the Timber Trail riding through the stunning Pureora Forest Park. Epic Cycle Adventures offers flexible and reliable shuttles, bike hire & accommodation packages for experiencing the great 82km Timber Trail cycle way.
The Timber Trail is one of New Zealand's "Great Rides" & follows old logging tramways through fantastic native podocarp forest. It is a grade 3 ride that is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Amazing suspension bridges, incredible views & the historic Ongarue Spiral make it a memorable trip. Epic Cycle Adventures will provide shuttles & bikes from Ongarue to either starting points. You can ride the full 82km over 2 days or the bottom 42km half as a day trip. For those keen to take on the full trail, you can glamp at Camp Epic halfway along the Trail. Comfy warm beds & some of the best showers in NZ. We can organise a package for you that takes care of everything - accommodation, shuttles, luggage transfers & bike hire.
