The Powderkeg is the social heart of the Powderhorn Chateau—where good times naturally kick off. Positioned at the gateway to The Old Coach Road, it offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that’s equal parts lively and laid-back. Whether you're sharing tall tales over cold brews or sinking into the distinctive handcrafted wood furniture, it’s the kind of place that stays with you.
Dining & Service Details
- Open daily, all day from afternoon to late
- First in, first served. Once tables fill up, a waitlist may be in place.
- Bar seating is available for those wanting to dine without delay.
- Large groups are encouraged to contact us in advance for the best dining options.
Seasonal Updates
- Breakfast is served daily from 7 am in the Powderkeg during summer.
- The Matterhorn (upstairs) opens for the winter season and is available by booking only.
Maintenance Closure
We will be closing for scheduled maintenance and a well-deserved team break from Friday 1st May following breakfast service at 11am, and will reopen on Friday 15th May from 12pm in reception, and 3pm in the Powderkeg.
