Yakima on the Mountain

Saturday 11 July | From 10:00am

Yakima is heading to Whakapapa with their latest range of transport solutions designed to help you get more gear to more adventures.

Visit the team in the base area to check out roof racks, roof boxes and vehicle carriers, chat with the experts, and enter for your chance to win a 2026 Whakapapa Season Pass. One lucky winner will also take home a $1,000 Yakima voucher, with spot prizes up for grabs throughout the day.


Peaks & Beats with Aperol

Saturday 11 July | From 1:00pm Knoll Ridge Chalet

Join Aperol at New Zealand's highest café for an unforgettable alpine après experience.

Take the Sky Waka gondola to Knoll Ridge Chalet at 2,020m and enjoy live DJ sets from DoubleDrop, stunning mountain views and Aperol drink specials. It's the perfect way to soak up the atmosphere as winter comes alive on Mt Ruapehu.


Happy Valley Rail Jam

Friday 17 July | From 1:00pm Happy Valley

Think you've got your best tricks ready? The Happy Valley Rail Jam is your chance to hit the rail and box line, enjoy some friendly competition and win prizes thanks to IHI Syndicate and Dragon.

Open to all ages and abilities, the jam format gives everyone plenty of opportunities to ride, with spot prizes throughout the event and podium prizes for top performers.

Entry: $10 (payable when collecting your bib on the day)


Warren Miller Movie Night

Friday 17 July | From 4:00pm Lorenz's Bar & Café

Settle in for a free screening of Warren Miller's latest film, SNO-CIETY.

Follow skiers and riders from around the world as they chase winter, discover new destinations and celebrate the communities that make mountain life special.

Food and drink specials will be available from 4:00pm, with the film screening at 5:00pm.

Entry: Free – no registration required.


Adaptive Volunteer Training Weekend

25–26 July

Love the mountain and want to help more people experience it?

Join the Whakapapa Adaptive Team and learn how to support guests of all abilities on and off the snow. No previous adaptive experience is required — if you're confident skiing or snowboarding independently and have a positive attitude, we'll provide the training and support you need.
