Howard’s Mountain Lodge is the ultimate start for all outdoor adventure in Tongariro National Park, Ruapehu Skifields and Whanganui National Park. The lodge offers a broad variety of accommodation for all budgets. Daily transport to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing (in season) and the 42 Traverse Mountain bike track, Rental of ski equipment, tramping boots and walking poles and mountain bikes. Come and enjoy all that National Park has to offer then relax at our lodge with facilities that include, free wifi, 2 fully equipped kitchens, spa pool, open fires and a pool table. Coming down to play in the snow? Our on-site hire shop has everything from toboggans for to skis and snowboards. We cater for singles, couples, families and large groups.
