Tūkino has 170 hectares of ski area, over 300m of vertical drop, and great conditions sheltered from the prevailing Westerly winds.
Nestled on the eastern slopes of Mt Ruapehu in New Zealand’s North Island, Tūkino ski field offers the rare combination of adventure and lack of crowds, coupled with the friendliness and camaraderie that’s only found on club-operated fields. Tukino is a club ski field, operated and maintained by club members.
The Tūkino Skifield is open to the public and visitors are most welcome to visit Tūkino to ski, board or just play around in the snow.
This is what skiing used to be like – before hectic lifestyles and commercial interests took over! Sit back in front of a log fire in our Tūkino Cafe and enjoy the scenery and comraderie of others in our little spot of paradise at Tūkino
