Tūkino Ski Field

Ski where the sun shines first!

Tūkino has 170 hectares of ski area, over 300m of vertical drop, and slopes sheltered from the prevailing Westerly winds.

Nestled on the eastern slopes of Mt Ruapehu in New Zealand’s Central North Island, Tūkino ski field offers the rare combination of adventure and lack of crowds, coupled with the friendliness and camaraderie that’s only found on club-operated fields. Tukino is a club ski field, operated and maintained by club members.

The Tūkino Ski Field is open to the public and visitors are most welcome to visit Tūkino to ski, snowboard or just play around in the snow. Ski and snowboard lessons are available as well as ski touring and ice climbing.

When it’s time to recharge, sit back in front of a log fire at Tūkino Cafe and enjoy the scenery and camaraderie of others in our little spot of paradise at Tūkino.
