Old Coach Road Self-Guided Bike Tour from Ohakune
Bike along the historic Ohakune Old Coach Road at your own pace during a self-guided ride through spectacular scenery. Your tour includes the use of bike and helmet and transportation to the starting point in Horopito.
Make your own way to the starting point in downtown Ohakune to get outfitted with the provided helmet, bike and safety kit. The staff provides a safety briefing, ride orientation, and assistance with the optional free app that you can load on your own device.
When ready, board the shuttle that transports you and your bike to the Horopito end of Old Coach Road. By starting in Horopito, you begin almost 500 feet (150 meters) higher than Ohakune, which means that you can enjoy an easier bike ride overall that is mostly downhill.
