We're doing something pretty special this Anzac Day,
partnering with Voices of Gallipoli to take part in a three-day international
act of remembrance. Join us to hear the diaries and testimonies spoken out loud
from veterans who fought at Gallipoli and lived to tell the tale. We are
encouraging people to be as involved as they want; listen to the diary readings
and reflect on the words, or lend their voice and participate by reading from
the diaries too.
All live readings will happen at Roimata Pounamu (Tears on
Greenstone Memorial)
- Monday 24 April, 11am and 1pm
- Tuesday 25 April, 1pm
- Wednesday 26 April, 11am and 1pm
Voices of Gallipoli, by Maurice Shadbolt and adapted by
Arthur Meek, is part of an international project to remember the lives of kiwis
at war by speaking their words out loud at Anzac Day commemorations and events.
