The Timber Trail is one of New Zealand's "Great Rides" & follows old logging tramways through fantastic native podocarp forest. It is a grade 2/3 ride that is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Amazing suspension bridges, incredible views & the historic Ongarue Spiral make it a memorable trip. Epic Cycle Adventures will provide shuttles & bikes from Ongarue to either starting points. You can ride the full 82km over 2 days or the bottom 42km half as a day trip. For those keen to take on the full trail, you can glamp at Camp Epic halfway along the Trail. Comfy warm beds and the best showers in NZ. We can organise a package for you that takes care of everything - accommodation, shuttles, luggage transfers and bike hire.
